Reverie & Reality

(A Loop Poetry written for OctPoWriMo – Day 9)

I lay dreaming, of a world so beautiful
Beautiful beyond words, surpassing all hopes
Hopes to soar above and beyond
Beyond the darkness, amid the rays

Heartfelt emotions slicing through my feelings
Feelings of despair amid dreams of sanity
Sanity to  recover in this practical world
World of humans, deprived of humanity

A tinge of truth gleams somewhere in my thoughts
Thoughts glittered with the fine sequins of cliche
Cliche rules me many a time, my apologies
Apologies for the cliches; and the thoughts I fail to convey

Seems, I, the dreamer, have lost myself again… in reveries
Reveries and melancholic poetry and whimsical music
Music that wanes as I hear Mother, so angry
Angry enough to bring my head back to its senses!!!
