A/N: A Diamante form of poetry written for MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie. A Diamante is a seven-lined contrast poem set up in a diamond shape. Here I’ve attempted an antonym Diamante form, wherein the first and seventh line contain nouns that have opposite meanings. Transition to the contrasting noun occurs in the fourth line.

Tall Pride

Amid the mountains
Floating in pure fantasy,
Lo! She stands so tall;
Rising for the skies amid
Rocks that rise from forest floors.
